The Kookaburra Southern Cricket Association is the largest senior cricket competition in Tasmania, with 31 member clubs, and 60 teams, encompassing the areas of the Derwent Valley, Hobart, Eastern Shore and Sorell and Dodges Ferry.  Many of our clubs and their players, members, umpires and hard working volunteers have been impacted by these fires.

To kick off the donations the Kookaburra Southern Cricket Association (KSCA) is donating $1000 to the Appeal, in addition to assisting with the Sorell and Dodges Ferry Cricket Clubs’ T20 Gala Day, on Monday 14 January.

The KSCA will also dedicate next weekend’s round on the 19th and 20th of January, to the bushfire appeal and raise some more much needed funds for those communities affected by this disaster.

Mr Kain Moore, KSCA President said “We would like to see as many people, players and clubs as possible support this round by doing whatever they can to raise some funds for those affected.  I understand most clubs have something planned or may have something in the pipeline already, if you have thank you for your support.”

Suggestions range from players paying an extra few bucks, a game day BBQ,  ladies day etc the possibilities are endless.
