FROM WARRANE TO THE WORLD - DANCING WITH SOCRATES GETS INTERNATIONAL TRACTION

Dancing With Socrates’ eponymous CD is making a noise internationally, but particularly in the United States.

The song Saturn’s Rings has been accepted into general rotation on the New York-based Internet radio network, Jango.com.

Jango.com claims seven million listeners world wide, and provides tracking information to prove it.

Saturn’s Rings, and Pete Thomas’s dulcet tones, has been played across the US and Argentina, Italy, India, UK and Lithuania.

Today, the band received the news the song is also being showcased as part of the Independent Music Awards, also American based and featuring a cavalcade of famous names on the judging panels like Tom Waits.

“This is a really good result, particularly for Pete,” said bass player Ross Teders. “I don’t think when we sat down to record these songs in the big tin shed in Warrane that we ever thought they’d get airplay at all really and that Pete’s singing would be heard all over the world.

“And to be showcased in America is really fantastic.”

Inspired by all this the band members have decided to whack the CD up on ITunes, Amazon and the like and it is expected to go live in the next little while.
